Due to their great ignorance and extreme self-absorption there is one big problem that Satan and his minions haven’t counted on, and that is the second coming of Jesus Christ, they will call to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb” at which time Satan together with his angels, and all those who have rejected Jesus Christ gift of salvation will be thrown into the lake of fire where their worm dies not, and their fire is never quenched.
If you are a believer, then you will look and be radiant and your heart will tremble and swell with joy because of the appearing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but if you have the double misfortune of being a pagan and the misfortune of being around when Jesus returns, you will see the sun being darkened, and the moon will not give its light; and you will see the stars fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies shaken before your very eyes, at that time you will understand that hell awaits you as you see the sign of the Son of Man appear in the sky, and you and all the nations of the earth will mourn as you watch Jesus Christ coming on the clouds of the sky, with great power and great glory.
And the King of kings and Lord of lords will seat on his Great White Throne and the sky will flee from his presence, and there will be no place for them, and he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. Then, the son of Man will sit on his throne in heavenly glory, and the dead, great and small, will stand before his throne, and all the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. “Then the King will say to those on his right, `Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, `Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, `I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’
Then, the King will say to those on his left, `Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ “They also will answer, `Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ “He will reply, `I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
Books will be opened. Another book will be opened, which is the book of life. The dead will be judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea will give up the dead in it, and death and Hades will give up the dead in them, and each person will be judged according to what he had done. Then, death and Hades will be thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone’s name is not found written in the book of life, he will be thrown into the lake of fire.
Now learn this lesson from the fig tree, as soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star. The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus is with God’s people.
